Richard Verschoor, born on December 16, 2000, in Benschop, began his racing career at a young age in karting. He achieved impressive results, including winning the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy in 2014 and the German Kart Championship in 2015.
In 2016, Verschoor transitioned to formula racing, where he immediately found success. He won both the SMP Formula 4 Championship and the Spanish Formula 4 Championship with MP Motorsport. These achievements caught the attention of the Red Bull Junior Team.
A highlight of his career was winning the prestigious Macau Grand Prix in 2019, making him the first Dutch driver to claim victory in this race. This triumph underscored his talent and potential in motorsport.
Verschoor made his FIA Formula 2 debut with MP Motorsport in 2021. Despite challenges, he has consistently delivered strong performances, securing victories in every season from 2022 to 2024. For the 2025 season, he has returned to MP Motorsport to continue his Formula 2 career.
